ISEFI
has contributed constantly as from its start with the Educational
System. The careers on P.E. Teacher and Teacher with Specialization
in Matroswimming for sane babies and handicapped babies
are based on our Educational Projects and on a wide research
baggage that has been obtained over the past 43 years, with
our own resources. Such knowledge has been incorporated
into the System and former Projects have become at present
National Study Plans.

started in 1976
The
first move was made by Dr. Patricia Cirigliano, personally,
at the end of the ´50s when, after having graduated
in the National Teachers Institute on Physical Education,
she started to put into practice the first experiences
to teach sane babies, and babies with certain disabilities,
to swim.
In
1960 the First Argentine Swim School for Babies
was created together with the aquatic initiation method
so called Matroswimming™. |

The original method, in fact the very first worldwide
with clear objectives and resources and scientifically
driven principles, acquired international as well as local
prestige. The first siege was located in Castelar, in
Buenos Aires province, in the family country house,
where the School operated from 1960 to 1969.
The demand from people coming from the Federal District
and Northern Buenos Aires propelled us to move and as
from 1969 it has been located in Belgrano. Our first venue,
in Maure 2266, proved small in 1976 when the ISEFI
was founded. ISEFI is the Superior Teachers Institute
where the careers of Pre-School Education and Physical
Education with national scope can be followed.
ISEFI
Study Plan, incorporated to official education
in 1980, is an original Educational Project,
the same as the new Career for Teachers Specialization
in Matroswimming for Babies and Infant Aquatic Education
that has been officially certified as from 2000.
Besides, as from 2003 this career has
also been implemented as distance learning.

IS THE TEACHERS PERFECTIONMENT AND UPDATING INSTITUTE INCORPORATED
TO OFFICIAL EDUCATION.
